In this report, we describe the Finnish survivors’ pension system and the livelihood of surviving spouses and children. We also assess how well the survivors’ pension system works and how up-to-date it is. The data on recipients of survivors’ pensions stems mainly from the registers of the Finnish Centre for Pensions.
