Sisäministeriön pelastusosasto selvittää Pelastusasenteet-tutkimuksessa suomalaisten käsityksiä ja tietoja pelastustoimesta. Pelastusasenteet-tutkimuksen tavoitteena on kerätä säännöllisin väliajoin tietoa suomalaisten turvallisuuskäsityksistä, varautumisen tasosta ja pelastusalan tiedottamisen tehokkuudesta. Tutkimuksen käytännön toteutuksesta on vastannut TNS Gallup (Kantar TNS). Tutkimusaineisto on kerätty käyntihaastatteluilla, ja se edustaa Suomen 15 vuotta täyttänyttä väestöä, pois lukien Ahvenanmaalla asuvat. Haastateltavia kussakin tutkimuksessa on ollut hieman yli tuhat.

The Department for Rescue Services of the Finnish Ministry of the Interior charts Finnish views on and knowledge of rescue and emergency services by regularly conducting the Finnish Attitudes to Rescue Services, Safety and Emergencies survey. The survey aims to collect information on views on safety, level of preparedness and the impact of information provided by rescue services. Data collection is conducted by TNS Gallup Finland (Kantar TNS). The data are collected by face-to-face interviews and are representative of the Finnish population aged 15 or over, excluding citizens living in the Åland Islands. Some thousand persons are interviewed in each survey.
