LEED – IV and DFT study of the co-adsorption of chlorine and water on Cu(100)
LEED – IV and DFT study of the co-adsorption of chlorine and water on Cu(100)
Abstract We have studied the adsorption of water on a Cl covered Cu(100) surface using both low energy electron diffraction (LEED) experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. On the Cu{100}-c(2×2)-Cl surface water is shown to form a bilayer, which is weakly bound to the surface.
