The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to find out what are the planned uses for 6G technology in the future, as well as with which new technologies the 6G network is going to be made. The thesis was made as a literature review. Scientific research articles and publications related to the topic, as well as official websites of 6G organizations and entities, have been used as sources for the thesis. In the thesis, purpose is to open up the concepts that belong to the subject area, as well as the way the mobile network works in general. As a result of the thesis, scientific articles have highlighted future uses and needs of 6G as such: a tactile internet, extended reality, a digital twin, and the linking of autonomous vehicles. Many other possible new technologies were also found, but ones above were the ones mentioned the most in the articles. As a result of the thesis, the 6G enabling technologies mentioned in the scientific articles were as such: millimeter waves, terahertz waves, optical wireless communication, artificial intelligence, large intelligent surface and MIMO technologies. Not all issues related to the research questions have been reviewed in this thesis due to the scope of the topic and the prediction of the future. 6G is under many research, and there is no real certainty about many things at this stage. However, the results can be used as guidance.
