This thesis researched Karjalan Heili’s website reformed in 2015 through online survey. The goal of this thesis was to help Heili to improve their services and gain more readers for the magazine. The topic was approached from the perspective of online survey, digitalization, journalism and customer oriented approach.

The thesis investigated the newspaper’s readers’ opinions through an online survey. At first I familiarized myself with online survey’s customs and the obstacles that the investigators have to take into account. After that the thesis considered on digitalization as a phenomenon and how does it have an influence on Karjalan Heili and journalism in general. The customer oriented approach was examined by analyzing Heili’s survey’s answers.
