This thesis started as a request from Mikkeli University of Applied Science’s restaurant services to productise Kasarmi Campus Tour. One of the problems was the missing list of tour guides and the tour’s content. In addition to increase the number of the tours was part of the hidden agenda.

The research problem was how to productize Kasarmi Campus Tour. The purpose was to create new tour models, increase marketing, and create a list of guides and their substitutes who can be bothered when tours are being organized. One wish was also to make a marketing flyer to customers.

The first part of this bachelor’s thesis contains the theory of productisation. It tells what productisation is, how it is done and also refers to productisation of expert services. The second part of the theory is about marketing communications, in which I take a look at the impacts and planning of marketing communica-tions, and what contains good marketing communications. The thesis also discusses Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, and its history and, the methods of an active thesis and what it took to make this thesis. In the end I introduce the new tour modes, the guide list and flyer which I designed for Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences.

As a result of productisating the Kasarmi Campus Tour three tour models were designed to three different groups of customers. The models are convertible or ready to be offered to customer as such. I also drafted a list of tour guides in for the future, so it would be easier to organize the tours in future. For the results, I interviewed two persons from the school staff and, compared results and their functionality to the theory.
