Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli toimia oppaana Karhunvartijat ry:n rahastonhoitajalle työhön perehdytyksessä ja sen aikana. Oppaan tavoitteena oli helpottaa ja yhtenäistää rahastonhoitajien työskentelyä ja siihen käytettyjä tapoja sekä antaa tietoa yhdistyksen toiminnasta yleensä. Karhunvartijat ry on partiolippukunta, jonka tarkoituksena on auttaa lapsia ja nuoria omaksumaan elämän perusarvoja ja -taitoja.

Tyypiltään opinnäytetyö oli toiminnallinen. Se piti sisällään raporttiosuuden sekä toiminnallisen osuuden. Raportissa käytiin läpi työn lähtökohdat, teoriaa sekä johtopäätökset. Viitekehyksenä työlle toimi yhdistysten toimintaan keskittyvä ammattikirjallisuus sekä lainsäädäntö. Toiminnallisena osuutena työssä oli opas, joka koostui viitekehyksistä valituista yhdistyksen rahastonhoidolle välttämättömistä asioista. Oppaasta löytyi myös yksityiskohtaiset esimerkit yhdistyksen rahastonhoidolle.

Lopputuloksesta tuli kompakti tietopaketti yhdistyksen rahastonhoitajalle sekä hallitukselle. Opas on erittäin kätevä keino perehdyttää uudet rahastonhoitajat ja hallituksen jäsenet yhdistyksen rahastonhoitoon sekä toimintaan. Opas antaa myös hyvät lähtökohdat yhdistyksen taloudenhoidon ja hallinnon kehittämiseksi entistä paremmiksi.

The purpose of this study was to create a guide which the treasurer of Karhunvartijat, a scout association, can use during induction and the work itself. The purpose of the association is to help children and young adults to understand life’s values and skills. The aim of this study was to ease and unite the work of the treasurers and to provide information on the association’s function in general.

This study is a functional thesis. It consists of a theoretical part and the guide. The theoretical part contains the basis of the study, theory and conclusions. The theoretical part is based on professional literature and legislation on associations. The functional part of the study is the guide which includes important facts about the finances of associations. Those facts are based on the theory. The guide also includes detailed examples of how to manage an association’s finances.

As a result of the thesis, a compact information package for the treasurer and the association’s board members was created. The guide is a very useful way to induct new treasurers and board members. The guide also gives a good basis for the association to develop its finances and administration even further.
