Teimme opinnäytetyön anestesiaintubaatioprotokollan yhtenäistämisestä ja tuotimme aiheeseen liittyvän opetusvideon yhdessä Saimaan Ammattikorkeakoulun ja FinnHEMS10:n henkilöstön kanssa. Videolla käydään läpi potilaan hengitystien varmistaminen anestesiaintubaatioprotokollaa noudattaen ja esitellään uudet tilannetta varmistavat tarkistuslistat.

Sairaalan ulkopuolella suoritettavaan anestesiaintubaatioon liittyy paljon riskitekijöitä. Yksittäisten ensihoitajien ja lääkäreiden valmiudet anestesiassa toteutettavan intubaation suorittamiseksi voivat vaihdella, työskentelyyn tarjoutuva ympäristö saattaa olla haasteellinen ja lisäksi potilaan tilannetta koskevat taustatiedot voivat olla puutteelliset. Potilasturvallisuuden sekä toimenpiteen sujuvuuden vuoksi on erittäin tärkeää, että suoritettaessa anestesiaintubaatiota on olemassa valmis protokolla ja sitä tukevat tarkistuslistat, joiden mukaan edetään.

Opetusvideo on kuvattu simuloidussa hoitotilanteessa, jossa toimitaan anestesiaintubaatioprotokollan mukaisesti hyödyntäen hyvää CRM käytäntöä ja vaadittavia hoitovälineitä. Videolla esitellään uusi toimintaprotokolla sekä tarkistuslistat käytännössä. Videon on kuvannut ammattikuvaaja. Ennen anestesiaintubaatioprotokollan kouluttamista lähetimme mielipidekyselyt henkilöstölle, jota uudistus koskee. Kysely toistettiin koulutuksen aloittamisen jälkeen.

Opinnäytetyömme on kerännyt positiivista palautetta ja saanut osakseen paljon näkyvyyttä. Videon käyttäminen osana koulutusta on todettu hyväksi sekä havainnollistavaksi tavaksi esitellä uutta toimintatapaa.

The purpose of this thesis was to introduce the standardizaton of anesthesia intubation protocol and to make a guidance video about the new protocol. The guidance video was put together with the aid of the staff of Saimaa University of Applied Sciences and FinnHEMS10 personnel. The guidance video presents the intubation of a patient according to the standardized intubation protocol and it introduces the new checklist on the matter.

The anesthesia intubation has many risks when performed outside the hospital; the individual ability and readiness of a paramedic/doctor to execute the intubation can differ, the working space to operate can be small and the background information can be insufficient. In order to maintain the safety of the patient as well as the proficiency of the operation, it is vital that there exists an explicit protocol about the intubation and its steps.

The guidance video introduces the new anesthesia intubation protocol and its new checklist with required instruments. The video has been filmed by a professional photographer and the actors are professional paramedic nursing personnel. Before the release of the video and the new training a survey was carried out amongst the personnel whom the renewal affects. The same survey was conducted after the training.

As a whole, the thesis has received positive feedback, support and broad coverage throughout the study. Utilizing the new guidance video in the training program is said to be very coherent and a convenient way to demonstrate the new protocol.
