My thesis deals with furniture for future learning environments and their features. The aim was to find out what learning and learning environments will be like in the future. In addition technology in teaching and the possibilities it offers when designing school environments and furniture are discussed. In this way I try to understand what is required when designing furniture for school environments.

The goal was to create functional furniture concept for future learning environments while utilizing gathered information and specified features. Children and their teachers will be main users of my furniture concept but I will also pay attention to other users needs. As a final result 3D visualizations of my furniture concept are presented.

The thesis was commissioned by Filosa Oy. Corporation was working as my mentor and we shared thoughts and ideas considering my thesis.
