This final year thesis was made for City of Varkaus and Kangaslammin kyläyhdistys ry. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate possibilities for new heating solution to former Finnish Civil Guard’s (translated literally as “Protective Guard”) building, which is located in Kangaslampi. At present building is called as Manttu and is under law of historic preservation.

Main goals were to investigate possible solutions which were appointed beforehand and consider their viability and requirements in the building. In addition while thinking possibilities also conservation of the building and the surrounding landscape had to be taken into consideration.

Most of the estimations about measurements and expenses are received from companies which are operating in these specific lines of business.
