The subject of this thesis was bow hunting in Finland.

The thesis consists of theory part, a survey and a presentation of the results and conclusions. The theoretical part describes the history and present state of bow hunting in Finland and other countries, three hunting bows are introduced that you are allowed to be used for hunting in Finland and different hunting points are introduced.

The survey studies the opinions of Finnish hunters about bow hunting and the upcoming change to hunting laws concerning bow hunting. The survey was directed at hunters, but people who had no hunting experience were also able to answer the survey. The survey was made using Webropol - platform and a link to the survey was shared using social media; mainly Facebook.

According to the survey, bow hunting is a very interesting and difficult way of hunting and new additions to game animals, whitetail deer and wild boar, increased the interest of choosing a bow as a hunting weapon.
