Our thesis deals with the subjects of sexual education and pornography. Sexuality is a natural part of the human nature and a lifelong process that requires continuous sexual education to ensure good sexual health for the individual. Pornography is a current part of young people's exploration of sexuality and is therefore dealt with in this work in connection with sexuality and sexual education. The purpose of the work was to examine the type of information young people receive regarding sexuality and pornography, whether these issues are adequately addressed in the school’s sex education and how young people themselves would want to receive this type of information. Our questions regarding this work were: What kind of information do young people receive about sex and pornography, when and by whom? Is there sufficient information and, is it given at the right time and by the right people? What kind of relationship do young people really have to pornography? This work was carried out as a quantitative survey. As a method for collecting data a survey regarding current issues regarding sexual education, aimed at young people, was used. Our results show that the majority of the young respondents have taken part in health education classes, but several of them had not been taught about sex, sexuality and pornography in school, despite the fact that the subject of health education should address current issues concerning young people's sexuality. The results also showed that those who had received education about topics related to sexuality still felt that they had received inadequate information and felt a need for more information. According to our results, young people's preferences regarding information sources in matters concerning pornography and sexuality were sexual counselors and teachers. The relationship young people had to pornography varied, for some it was a way to seek pleasure and for some it was a source for information.
