This Master’s Thesis consists of four topics related to commissioning and maintenance testing of electrical substations. The goal of the first topic was to elaborate the present and the future testing methods of substations and compare the usability of different secondary injection devices in future substation testing. A device owned by the company was involved in the comparison. The goal of the second topic was to investigate the effects of IEC 61850 standard and time-critical GOOSE and SV communication protocols to a substation. Different commissioning and maintenance testing procedures were studied on these communication protocols. The third topic described the protective relay configuration process based on the IEC 61850 standard. The goal was to present a solution to the challenge when the protective relays are electrified during testing. The fourth topic introduced a project site where the GOOSE and SV communication protocols were tested. Additionally, an order of progress was formed, which defines how a commissioning testing can be executed at a substation. The results from the first topic pointed out that the future substations’ self-monitoring capabilities are increasing, and the secondary injection device of the company is competent. Additionally, the testing device of the company is capable of testing the future substations, as long as appropriate testing licenses are invested in. As a result from the second topic, instructions to a certain testing device manufacturer’s software program were made. The instructions describe how the GOOSE and SV communication protocols can be tested. Based on the elaboration of the third topic, a configuration model was made, which makes the maintenance testing of substations easier. The practical testing in the fourth topic insured that the instructions to the testing programs function correctly.
Opinnäytetyö tehtiin Outokumpu Oyj:n Tornion jaloterässulaton aihiohiomoon. Aihiohionnan tarkoitus on poistaa pintavirheitä aihioista ennen kuumavalssausta.
This thesis consists of different reviews about potential ways to reduce electric motors size and weight in electric vehicles. Under investigation are electric- and hybrid cars, electric motorcycles, -aircrafts and -adjusted bicycles. In addition, review of the development of Hitachi’s motor technology and potential use of carbon nanotubes as electric motor components to replace copper in windings. The purpose of this study is to find reasons for possible size and weight reduction on electric motors and the reasons why they have not been reduced yet. In addition, the aim is to explore what solutions will be seen in the future electric motors. This study also explores how possible reduction has been obtained. This study reveals that in commercial hybrid cars, the mass of electric motors has been reduced mostly by reducing the rotor and stator mass. The reduction in rotor mass is explained by large openings in the rotor laminations and the reduction in stator mass is explained by the reduced need for copper. For commercial electric cars electric, the mass of electric motors has remained almost the same, but the highest power has been increased. However, there are many solutions to reduce mass on electric motors in electric cars, such as an axial electric motor having a power density more than four times that of a radial electric motor, which are the most common electric motors of the present day. In the case of commercial electric motorcycles, the mass of the electric motor has even increased slightly, but on the other hand, the power has been increased considerably. In electric adjusted bicycle motor mass has remained almost the same for a few years, but new technologies are being developed all the time. In the case of carbon nanotechnology, electric motors are at the stage of attempting to make a carbon nanotube with a better conductivity so that it can be used, for example, in the stator windings. On electric aircraft comparison of different electric motors show, that the mass of electric motors has remained almost the same, but the highest torque has been increased. At the moment efforts are being made to increase power-to-weight ratio in aircraft electric motors by using better cooling methods.
Puheen mallin adaptoimiseen käytetty algoritmi johdetaan maksimi a posteriori -adaptoinnista ja itseorganisoituvista kartoista. Adaptaatio toimii hyvin yhden foneemin mallilla, mutta foneemien siirtymiä käytettäessä tulokset eivät juurikaan parane syistä, jotka esitetään työssä.
