The goal of this master’s thesis was to study the use of low-code platforms and the state of citizen development at a multinational manufacturing company.
To reach said goal firstly a literary review on the subject was done. Based on the information gathered the methods of the study were chosen to be internal interviews, review of both internal and external documents and data, testing of solutions in use, and participating in daily operative tasks.
As a result, a descriptive summary of the state of citizen development was produced along with a comparison of platforms in use within the company.
Finally, it can be concluded that citizen development as a phenomenon is well under way within the company and necessary strategic decisions have been made regarding focus on certain platforms.
