The aim of this work was to design a condition monitoring system for two glass wool production lines. Besides the designing process this work also presents several different condition monitoring methods. At the beginning of this work several different methods, that make it possible to monitor condition of devices and machines are introduced. Emphasis of introduced condition monitoring methods is on vibration measurement, which is getting more and more popular in industry. The designed condition monitoring system is based on five differentmethods that are vibration measurement, temperature measurement with thermographic camera, temperature measurement with portable meter, listening with electronic stethoscope and checking condition of rotating machine parts with stroboscope. The design of condition monitoring system was done in different stages. At thebeginning of the designing process certain production machines were selected under condition monitoring system. The selection was based on their importance in the production chain. The choice of condition monitoring methods was based on possible failure modes of selected machines. After the selection of the condition monitoring methods, a measurement plan of machines was made. The plan includes all information concerning measurements. At the end of this work there are some examples that show how the selected condition monitoring methods work and also some thoughts about further development of this condition monitoring system are given.
