Examensarbetet behandlar ett produktutvecklingsprojekt som utfördes i samarbete med kommunikationsenheten vid yrkeshögskolan Arcada. Syftet med arbetet var att komma fram till vilket innehållshanteringssystem och nätbutiksverktyg som skulle användas för att skapa en nätbutik för Arcada. I arbetet görs en jämförelse mellan Drupal och WordPress samt deras nätbutiksverktyg Drupal Commerce och WooCommerce för att få fram det bättre alternativet för Arcada Shop. Forskningen begränsades till att endast behandla två innehållshanteringssystem eftersom dessa två system används mycket inom Arcada och uppfyller beställarens krav. I arbetet behandlas inte hur man bygger upp en nätbutik med de system som jämförs i forskningen. Jämförelsen gjordes i form av praktiska tester och med hjälp av litteraturstudier. Faktorer som behandlades i och med jämförelsen baserade sig på kravspecifikationer som beställaren angett. Examensarbetet klargör kraven för nätbutiken och går igenom jämförelsens olika delar varefter de sammanfattas i en tabell och poängsätts. I slutet av arbetet redogörs den slutliga lösningen som byggdes i WordPress med WooCommerce tillsammans med de tillägg som användes för att ge nätbutiken ytterligare egenskaper.

This thesis is about a product development project carried out in collaboration with the communications department at Arcada University of Applied Sciences. The purpose of this work was to choose which content management system and e-commerce tool should be used to create a webshop for Arcada. A comparison was made between Drupal and WordPress as with their e-commerce tools Drupal Commerce and WooCommerce to achieve a result. This work was limited to only address two content management systems as these two systems are widely used at Arcada and meet the requirements of the client. The thesis does not include instructions on how to build a webshop with the systems compared in the research. The comparison was made in the form of practical tests and by studying literature. The aspects processed in the comparison were based on the requirement specifications given by the client. The thesis clarifies the requirements for the webshop and goes through the different parts of the comparison, after which they are summarized in a table and rated. The solution that was built in WordPress with WooCommerce and the plugins that were used to add features to the webshop are both presented at the end of this thesis.
