The objective of this thesis was to plan and execute a geocaching-club at Siilinjärvi parish in September 2016. The geocaching-club started in late September 2016 and there were altogether 5 meetings, once per week, the last one being in late October 2016. The purpose of the club was to get pre-teens involved in Siilinjärvi parishes activities and to present geocaching as a game.

The theory of this thesis discusses outdoor activity and experience pedagogy, their history and practices. The knowledge of experience pedagogy and outdoor activity are in key-role when geocaching is discussed. The theory part also discusses geocaching and its theory.

The geocaching-club was successful in the end and it got plenty of feedback, mostly positive and constructive.
