The thesis is a development-oriented entity consisting of partial performances. The report presents three different operational projects: the International Women of Hope event, the Lighthouse concept conceived by international young people, and the For the Peace -charity event in the first meters of the Ukrainian war.

The aim of the work-based projects was to make the immigrant work of the Kokkola Finnish parish familiar to both members of the work community and city residents. The events aimed to support the integration process of immigrants, strengthen their participation in the surrounding society and create links to multicultural encounters.

All three projects met their targets. Through the activities, members of the work community were inspired to work with immigrants across the boundaries of the work sector, city residents from different age groups were invited to take part in the activities and multicultural encounters were made possible. In addition to the realization of the goals, the foundation was laid for long-term, future-oriented forms of activity that unite the fields of work.
