The customer of this thesis is a private agricultural advisory service provider Viestintä Oy Tuulihaukka from Laitila. The entrepreneur of the company is Anna Setälä. The aim of this thesis is to find out what the customers need, hope and are they satisfied with the service provided by this company. Another aim of this thesis is to find out the need to recruit a new employee to the company based on the possible growing need for consulting. The company has approximately 100 customers in Laitila and its vicinity. The objective of this thesis is to demonstrate to the company how, where, when and what kind of consulting their company's customers want in the future. The thesis also examines customer satisfaction with advisory services and the effects of the new CAP27 funding period on the customers' use of advisory services. The thesis includes a survey conducted using a Webropol questionnaire. It was made possible to the clientele to answer to the survey for two weeks via a link sent by email at the end of 2023. 67% of the company's customers answered to the survey. Based on the results obtained from the survey, the customers' need for advice and the use of the services provided by the advisor will presumably increase in the new support period. The customers were also relatively satisfied with the advisory service they received. Customers perceive the advisory service as a very necessary part of farming, and many respondents hope that the advisor will be more actively connected with the farmer. Based on the results of the survey, the new CAP27 funding period will affect customers' need for advice to some extent, but from the results of the survey, it is not yet possible to predict the total amount of increase in need. However, the funding period lasts at least until the end of 2027, and by the time the results of the survey were received, only the first year had passed. Based on the results of the survey, the company will consider recruiting a part-time employee for the position of an EU assistant in the future.
