The purpose of this thesis is to provide information about the prevention of Black market using ban of business operations. The subject of the study arose from job-rotation, where people who had ban of business operation were monitored. The thesis examines how the ban of business operations works from the police perspective and how to develop it to be more effective.

In this study a list of challenges was made that ban of business operations have according to public sources and from personal experience. This study makes proposal corrections to the ban of business operations. The police who work with ban of business operations were asked if those corrections would be needed to get the ban of business operations rationalized.

This thesis was executed as a quantitative research with some qualitative questions. The information was gathered from literature, newspapers, reports from authorities and questionnaires to police who work with the ban of business operations.

Based on the findings it seems that the police have challenges with the ban of business operations even if the legislator is trying to improve the legislation.
