Examensarbetet är handlingsbaserat och består av en Flytta hemifrån-guide och beskrivningen bakom den. Guiden har sammanställts och ges ut i samband med informations- och rådgivningsprojektet Vinkki, som är en del av Raseborgs ungdomsbyrås verksamhet.
Att flytta hemifrån är ett stort steg mot självständighet och en viktig del i utvecklingsprocessen att bli vuxen. Det kan vara en stressande situation med en hel del nya upplevelser. Inte bara för ungdomarna som flyttar hemifrån, utan även för föräldrarna. Syftet med examensarbetet är att genom Flytta hemifrån-guiden underlätta processen att flytta hemifrån och förebygga utslagning. Guiden kommer att finnas tillgänglig på Raseborgs ungdomsbyrås webbsida www.befree.fi och ges ut både på svenska och på finska. Teori som stöder Flytta hemifrån-guiden och lyfts fram i examensarbetet är identitetsskapandet, självständighetsprocessen, förebyggande och främjande arbete, sysselsättning samt betydelsen av att känna gemenskap.

My work consists of a Moving away from home guide and the description of how it was made. The guide is a part of the Vinkki project. Vinkki is a information and counselling service for youth and is part of the activity at Raseborg’s youth office. To move away from the childhood home is a big step towards independence and an important part of the development process. It can be a stressful time to move away from home with a lot of new experiences, not only for the youth who are moving but also for the parents. The thesis’ purpose is to ease the process through the guide and prevent marginalization. The guide will be available at Raseborg’s youth office’s web site www.befree.fi. The guide will also be published in Swedish and Finnish. The theories I have chosen to focus on in this work are the creation of the identity, independence process, promotional and preventive work, employment and the importance of a sense of fellowship.
