Dynaamisen tasapainon harjoittaminen 11-13-vuotiailla jalkapalloilijapojilla

A dynamic balance is an important factor for young soccer player boys when learning new motor skills and in the prevention of sport injuries. The purpose of this study was to find out what sort of impact the 8-week controlled trial has on dynamic balance in 11-13 -year old soccer boys. A test group was Lappeenranta soccer team PEPO D-13 (n = 14) and the control group was Imatra Palloseura IPS -02 (n = 13). The study period took place at the beginning of March to mid-May 2015.

Exercise programs movements were mostly based on Antti Lappalainen’s the-sis, which was written in cooperation with the Football Association of Finland. In addition, the movements for the training program were chosen based on the Finnish Football Coaches Associations BOSU Balance platform Balance exer-cises. Both teams performed initial and final measurements by the same meas-urers. The indicator of this study was the Y-balance test.

The results were analyzed by the SPSS software and the statistical significance limit was set at p < 0.05. The results showed that eight weeks of dynamic balance training does not have the positive effect of the dynamic balance compared to the soccer boys of the control group (p > 0.05). The results of the Y-balance test improved in both groups in all directions 1.6-6.8%. The small sample size of the study undermined the reliability and generalizability of the study. In the future, it would be important to explore the dynamic balance with a larger sample size and a more restricted training program.
