The purpose of this final thesis was to research the apartment renting activity of the target company and the risks related to it. The main goal was to evaluate how the current apartment renting operation takes place and possibly offer the company some development suggestions for the future.

The theory section reviews the different aspects that risk management contains. The section features the different phases of processes and the activities related to them. The different conventions of assessing the effects of risks and probability are also featured in the theory section. In addition, the risks of the apartment renting operations of the target company are evaluated.

In the development section the possible risk management conventions of the target company are recognized and presented. In the second part of this section, the recognized conventions are being evaluated and more thoroughly considered whether the target company is able to utilize these conventions. The already existing risk management methods of the target company are also focused with possible improvement suggestions included.

Four possible methods of risk management were identified of which three of them are already being applied by the target company. These methods were evaluated and based on the results the target company was given improvement suggestions for the future application of their risk management methods.

The risk management process of the target company was also evaluated in general and based on this evaluation they were presented with some improvement suggestions. Based on the research, it can be stated that the current risk management process and the methods being used are suitable for them. They are sufficient enough to prevent the possible risks of the company’s apartment renting operations.
