Objective of the project is increases effectiveness of the production in pre-processing and storage with 5s method, and to improve safety and cleanliness through standardised and controlled system. The work is done at Nakkila Works Oy 's factory in Nakkila.

5s is one of the Lean tools. Lean and 5s are from the Toyota´s factory in Japan. The method is a commonly used and effective production efficiency tool. The efficiency of the 5s method is based on order and standardization.

With introduction of the method, the efficiency of production increase and overall cleanliness and comfort improved. The air in the halls was made cleaner by concentrating the most pollinating work in one place. The order of stocks is better and materials is faster available and discoverable.
