The subject of the thesis was to produce sketches of terraced houses, to calculate estimated costs and to produce an estimated timetable. To produce the sketches, laws, building regulations, urban area development plans and the code of constructions would have to be followed. To estimate the costs and timetable of the construction project, individual structural elements had to be calculated. In the thesis plans for two houses were produced. The houses were made of breeze blocks and each of the houses included three apartments. The estimated costs and the timetable were based on these construction drawings. The thesis was assigned by Keski-Suomen Tasoite Oy. The company would utilize the results of the thesis in pre-marketing the apartments and projects in the future.
