This Bachelor's Thesis of Electrical Power Engineering was made for Rejlers Oy. The company was founded in 1942, and it is part of The Rejler Group. Rejlers offers engineering, consultancy and turnkey delivery services for the customers in the fields of industry, energy, construction property and infrastructure in Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Norway.

The object of this thesis was to bring out the LED lightning technology on constructing. The thesis explored the properties of LEDs and compared LED technology to convertional light sources. Also, impact of LED circuit to the Finnish electricity grid was also investigated.

Knowledge of this thesis shows the versatility of LEDs, as well as unlimited accessibilities. When talking about LED technology must be mentioned energy savings and the running expenses as the energy prices are rising. Supplying LEDs is still relatively expensive. LED technology is still in developing stage, but in the near future the LED will replace the traditional lightsources.

The research method was to compare all types of lightning features, articles and previous comparisons. Big part of the thesis was also my own experience of designing and installing of LED lights.
