Delfoi hitsauskäyttöliittymän käyttöohje

The purpose of this thesis was to produce a manual for Dassault Systèmes Catia's Delmia V5 program which includes Delfoi's welding user interface. The user interface is used for offline programming the Motoman welding robot. Offline programming means reprogramming a robot which is used outside of production, in this case a robot for teaching purposes in Tampere University of Applied Sciences. Offline programming has become very common in industry during the 21st century. The benefits of off-line programming are e.g. that new solutions for welding models can be tested by simulating them before the solutions are taken into usage. One major benefit is also that a robot does not have to stop working during the reprogramming when offline programming is used.

Programming is done in the machine laboratory of the university. There is a simulated working environment with the Motoman robot, a welding grill and two roller tables. This working environment is then uploaded on top of the Delmia V5 program.

This thesis was mainly done in Tampere University of Applied Sciences' machine laboratory.

The manual is for tuition usage and it has been written in a clear and comprehensive form. The manual includes one useful example and operating directions for a part that can be welded offline.
