The purpose of this bachelor´s thesis was to explore the situation of end user satisfaction towards company´s ERP (enterprise research planning) –system and its features. The goal is to develop the characters and functions of company´s new ERP-system called Microsoft Dynamics AX to be more user friendly and make it more suitable for client´s demands.

The theoretical framework of this research discusses ERP –systems and the development of information technology in general, usability and human-computer interaction (HCI). Microsoft Dynamics AX and its operations in Bong Suomi Oy were examined more closely.

The user friendliness or usability of the system was surveyed by structured questionnaires which were directed to the employees of Bong Suomi Oy. The questionnaire consisted of questions about the background information. It also contained questions concerned to the features of enterprise research planning systems.

The outcome of this research was that the end users of Microsoft Dynamics AX in this company were quite satisfied with the features and operations that were studied. However there are characters that need to be further developed. The employees who answered the questionnaire considered efficiency, transparency of the operations and flawlessness the most important features of enterprise resource planning system.
