Asiakkaiden kokemuksia Aleksintuvan toiminnasta

The purpose of this research was to chart customer satisfaction and customers’ partici-pation in the daily activities offered at Aleksintupa, a service center for visually impaired people. The research was a quantitative survey study and the data was collected through a standardized customer satisfaction form completed by forty-four customers of Aleksintupa. The research was carried out in co-operation with Aleksintupa. The research data was analyzed through statistical description.

According to the research results, the customers were satisfied with the services of Aleksintupa. The respondents were the most pleased with Aleksintupa´s assistance services. The customers were most often accompanied by their assistants on the following occasions: when they went shopping, needed to use health services, or did outdoor activities. They hoped to get more assistants and more social recreational activities, such as trips from Aleksintupa, in the future. The research results show that the activities and services offered at Aleksintupa play a big role in the lives of the customers. The research results are quite comparable to an earlier research on customer satisfaction of Aleksintupa that was carried out in 2002.

The results of the research can be used by the employees in evaluating and developing activities in Aleksintupa. Additionally, students, new workers and people who are interested in the subject may as well find the information gained from this research useful.
