The key goal of the social and healthcare reform is integration, which requires regional collaboration and sets requirements for leadership. Effective collaboration can promote impact and efficiency with existing resources. Aging increases memory disorders and the regional collaboration networks are needed to support the coordination and develop services to meet future challenges.

The purpose of this thesis was to describe the regional collaboration of memory nurses. The aim of the thesis was to provide information about the current state and development needs of the memory nurses’ network. The aim was also to write goals to regional collaboration and the management of the network based on the collected information. The thesis produced a proposal development to achieve these goals.

The thesis is a case study. The data was collected with an electronic questionnaire. The open-ended question was analysed by inductive content analysis. The results were presented to the memory nurses at a training event. Based on the results, the literature data collected in the theory section, and the researcher’s own ideas, a workshop was carried out using the Learning café method. The Learning café outputs were analysed using inductive content analysis. The proposal development for the collaboration was created by using the Orientation tool.

According to the key results of this thesis, the challenges of collaboration among memory nurses in the well-being area are the lack of a common channel of communication, working separately, and small number of meetings. Memory nurses expected more training, cooperation, and increased sharing of information.

The research results formed the basis for the development proposal. The aim of the development proposal is to create a channel for knowledge and sharing and to develop common operating models as well as to develop competence and knowledge among memory nurses. The development proposals can be used in the developing of regional collaboration.
